Easing into the weekend…

How I love days like today. It’s raining outside but no matter! I am cosied up in my knitting studio, peaceful in the knowledge that all this week’s projects are completed and into the shop on time. Meeting my Friday deadline for the last jumper of the week was a bit of a close call this time as Pentland was still damp after coming off the jumper board in the morning. Luckily the sun was shining and a fresh breeze was blowing down at Gearrannan and so fortunately I was able to find a quiet corner of the village to get Pentland completely dry before it went out for sale. I don’t think anyone noticed what I was up to…

Today is Saturday and a good day for a much-needed stock-take after a month of busy knitting. I can’t believe how much yarn I have knitted up in the past month! I don’t mind though that my yarn stash is looking a wee bit thin because it gives me a wonderful excuse to indulge in one of my most favourite occupations – shopping for more wool! :D.

I had a fun time sorting my odd balls and remnants, even down to my scrappy loose ends and tiny balls of loveliness!

I even found a small collection of discontinued Istex colours amongst the pile. Hmm, not sure what I’m going to do without Hazel or Mustard. It seems Istex’s yellow shade options have become rather limited since I first started designing. Sadly, it looks like I’ll have to rework Am Foghar a little…

At least I’m all sorted for June’s jumpers now, which will include Machair & Sunset in new colourways, Snowy Night on the Croft, and a new design for the An Tràigh collection – Rockpool. I’m so excited to be sharing all these over the next few weeks!
