We don’t have many trees on the Isle of Lewis, so for a tree-fix we have to head for Stornoway and the lushly forested grounds of Lews Castle. Here, perhaps more discernibly than anywhere else on the island the colours of the seasons in all their recurring glory can be enjoyed.
Am Foghar (The Autumn) is a traditional Fair Isle-styled design in glorious earth colours against a background of moss green, which evokes all the beauty of the woodland as the year reaches Summer’s end.
