So, after quite a few years of writing knitting patterns for traditional Fair Isle and Lopi sweaters I have finally been persuaded to turn my little hobby into a wee cottage business. I thought I couldn’t be more excited when last week I nervously put my first 3 jumpers out for sale at the Gearrannan Blackhouse Village. That was until they sold almost immediately!

I couldn’t believe the shelf was empty before I could even get the next 2 to the shop, and then the first of those sold within one day too!
Machair and Broch out for sale:
I can’t knit quick enough to keep up with demand, but what a lovely problem to have.
